A new elephant camp is set to be opened near Nga Laik Dam in Naypyitaw aiming to attract more local and foreign tourists to elephant camp sites.
Local newspaper Daily Eleven reported that the 20-acre site called Nga Laik Sakhantha Elephant Camp is located in Oaktara Thiri township and there are seven elephants including two babies at the camp.
The site will also include restaurants, recreation centers and souvenir shops and will collect 1,000 Kyat for local and 2,000 Kyat for foreigner as entrance fee.
